Port Rashid is the first commercial port of Dubai, created by the decision of His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum and named in his honor. The port is located in an artificial harbor. In 2019, the UAE's leading developer Emaar Properties, together with P&O Marinas, launched a large-scale modernization of the area. As a result of the renovation, Rashid Yachts & Marina will become a world-class yachting center, offering exclusive entertainment and a premium lifestyle on the seashore, and will strengthen Dubai's position as the main cruise center in the Middle East. A 500 m long swimming pool will be placed along the canal, there will also be a promenade, a harbor with 430 berths, a floating yacht club, a private beach club and much more.
